ICHAN Stadium (Randall's Island, NY)

(Above) This picture really
sums up my performance...
I placed a disappointing 3rd. I did score points for the overall team standings. When I left the meet my club
(Shore AC) was leading. We most likely won the team title on the men's side.
I ended up clearing 6'8" - 2.03m. There were certainly some talented jumpers at
the meet but nobody seemed to jump very well. Winning height was only 6'10" -
2.08m. My legs felt slightly heavy and sluggish, however I did work 20 hours in
the past two days at the Running Company (standing on my feet all day). I guess
that would explain my heavy legs. It took me three attempts at 6'8" to clear. My
first attempt at 6'10" was not bad. The final two jumps were just complete
wastes. I believe I will be going back to ICHAN stadium later this month for the
Empire State Games. I am getting sick of 6'8"....
